About the Livingston County Long Term Care Council

Purpose

The Livingston County Long Term Care Council’s (LTCC) role is to provide advice and guidance to the County Administrator, Office for Aging, Department of Social Services and Department of Health on Long Term Care issues facing Livingston County, and to ensure achievement of the goals and objectives of the NY Connects Point of Entry system. This is all done with input from Long Term Care Stakeholders.

As an advisory council, the LTCC will:

  • Identify Gaps in Services and Community Long Term Care Needs
  • Analyze Data and Develop Community Long Term Care Priorities
  • Develop and Recommend Strategies to Meet Community Long Term Care Needs
  • Promote Implementation of Programs and Policies to Improve Long Term Care
  • Advocate on behalf of Long Term Care Consumers and Providers

Mission

The Livingston County Long Term Care Council analyzes the Long Term Care service delivery system; identifies gaps in service accessibility and availability; develops, recommends, and promotes implementation of strategies to address gaps; and advocates on behalf of consumers and providers.
